FAQ's

Visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous.  Where do I go?  What do I wear? What time do I show up?  What’s here for my children?  What can I expect?  These and many more questions can come to your mind.  Well, we want to put you at ease.  Your first visit to Heritage Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family.  We want you to experience friendly people, inspiring music, helpful preaching and teaching, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home!”  Here are a few answers to your questions about what you might expect on your first visit.

Q. What’s the morning schedule?

A. Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 11:00. (This service is a little over one hour in length.)  If you can make it an hour earlier, we also have a complete Sunday School program for all ages each Sunday morning 10:00-1045.  Following the morning worship service, Pastor Young would like to personally greet you and thank you for visiting Heritage Baptist Church.  Once you arrive on our campus and make your way into the church foyer, you will be warmly greeted by one of our ushers that will be able to help direct you to where you need to go and answer any questions that you may have.

Q. Where do I take my children?

A. There is something special for every age.  At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under.  Our Bible-centered Sunday School classes meet at 10 AM and are divided as follows:  4-5 year olds, 1st-3rd grade boys, 1st-3rd grade girls, 4th-6th grade boys, 4th-6th grade girls, Teen Boys, Teen Girls, Young Adults as well as our more "seasoned" adult class.  These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.  After Sunday School, we break for about 15 minutes and at 11 AM have to Children's Church services (4 year olds-3rd grade & 4th-6th grade).  Teens and older all go into the main auditorium for the 11 Am service.

Q. How should I dress?

A. There is not a dress code at Heritage Baptist Church for members or guests.  Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in a more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Heritage Baptist!

Q. Do I have to participate in the offering?

A. No.  We do not invite you to Heritage Baptist Church for your offering.  We want our service to be a gift to you.  We hope you experience a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace.

Q. Other Questions?

A. If there’s something we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive.  Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Heritage Baptist will be a great experience!  We are here to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally.  We hope you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment you step onto campus!  Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
